2. Create an account on the CSC portal with an email address
3. Log in to the CSC portal and enter all required information and scan copies of all documents
4. No application fee
5. No hard-copy application required

2. CV or Resume
3. Highest Degree pre-graduate certificate (original or notarized)
4. Complete academic transcripts of all semesters corresponding to the highest degree (original or notarized)
5. Language Proficiency certificate (valid HSK, IELTS, and TOEFL) score and specific field MOI certificate required
6. Study Plan: minimum 1000 words
7. Physical Examination Form must be completed within 6 months
8. Two recommendation letters from two professors or associate professors written in Chinese or English
9. Non-Criminal Record issued within 6 months
10. Doctoral applicants must obtain the signature of their intended Chinese supervisor at CGU
11. CGU supervisors’ recommendation form for excellent international students with the signature of their intended supervisor
12. Other supporting documents such as award certificates, academic achievement, and published papers.

1. Find a course and check the entry requirements on the official CGU website
2. Register and log in to the Chinese Government Scholarship CSC portal
3. Select Type B and enter the agency number for China University of Geoscience: CUG 10491
4. Complete the application form, upload all required documents to the CSC portal, and submit the application form
5. Applicants can only apply on the CSC portal
6. No separate application through the CGU portal is required
7. No application fee
8. Application Period: October 16, 2026 to February 28, 2027
